Despite President Bola Tinubu’s plea for dialogue, youths have continued to take to the streets for the fourth consecutive day, demanding better economic conditions and governance.
The #EndBadGovernance protest began on Thursday and is set to continue for ten days. Demonstrators have gathered at Gani Fawehinmi Park following the President’s recent address to the nation.
Disappointed with the speech, protesters feel their key demands were not addressed. They are advocating for the reinstatement of petrol subsidy, solutions to food scarcity and unemployment, reduction of governmental expenses, and reforms within INEC and EFCC.
President Tinubu has encouraged the youths to halt the protests and engage in discussions. He has reassured them of his administration’s commitment to good governance, despite societal challenges.
