UEFA has imposed sanctions and financial penalties on seven nations that took part in Euro 2024 due to discriminatory conduct exhibited by their supporters.
Several games during the competition were tainted by racist incidents and offensive chants.
The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) of UEFA officially announced the charges against seven national associations in connection with a total of 17 matches.
In the first instance, Croatia has been fined £41,978 and prohibited from selling tickets to their away fans for their upcoming UEFA competition fixture, owing to the racist and discriminatory actions of their fans in all three Group B matches.
The Romanian Football Association has been fined £33,583 and will face a ban on ticket sales to away fans for their next UEFA game following similar occurrences across three matches.
Albania has also been penalized for racist and discriminatory behavior in their matches against Croatia and Spain during the group stage.
They have been fined £25,183 and are subject to a one-match ban on selling tickets to their away fans, with the ban being suspended for a two-year probationary period.
Conversely, the Hungarian, Slovenian, and Serbian federations have each been subjected to identical sanctions for the discriminatory and racist actions of their supporters.
