President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his steadfast dedication to transforming Nigeria, confidently declaring that he knows the path to prosperity and will guide the nation to its “promised land.”
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Summit, Tinubu made the statement after receiving strong backing from the APC Governors’ Forum.
In his address to party members and stakeholders, the president emphasized the need for action over complaints.
“This is the only time that you can correct and not complain,” he stated.
Acknowledging the support and encouragement from party leaders, Tinubu said, “I owe you a whole world of gratitude; the endorsements today, the ‘carry go’ inspiration.”
The atmosphere turned electric when someone from the audience called out, “Follow who know road,” prompting Tinubu to respond assuredly: “I know road. And we will lead you on to that promised land.”
He reassured attendees that the nation’s economic recovery is underway and that the hope Nigerians seek is already manifesting.
“The resuscitation of the Nigerian economy is on course, it is here. The hope is standing before you. Take it on,” he said.
Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to laying the groundwork for industrialisation and sustainable development.
“Nigeria will be industrialised; we will achieve our goals. If only in the first two years we are where we are today, then the next two years will be great. We have the mission, we have the vision,” he affirmed.
Addressing worries about democratic balance and APC’s political dominance, the president dismissed fears of a one-party state.
“To those saying one-party system is no good, it’s one party ruling and driving the aspirations of Nigerians. Where do they stand? You don’t blame a people bailing out of a sinking ship when they have no life jacket,” he remarked.
Concluding his speech, President Tinubu suggested further growth for the APC, indicating that more politicians are expected to join, describing it as part of “the game” of politics.
