Ruben Amorim, the Manchester United manager, has warned the club’s fans to prepare for difficult times ahead as he refuses to alter his approach.
The Portuguese coach emphasized that he will maintain his team’s tactics despite their recent struggles and stated that they simply need to endure the current challenges.
Following a disappointing 3-1 loss to Brighton at Old Trafford, where Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma, and Georginio Rutter scored for the visitors, Amorim spoke at a press conference.
Despite Bruno Fernandes’ penalty goal being United’s only shot on target, Amorim remained steadfast in his methods, declaring that both players and fans must be ready to face adversity.
“With me, it’s clear I’m not going to change the way I see the game. I’m very clear on that. The players will suffer and the fans are going to suffer. I’m really sorry, I have one way of doing things.
“We need to survive this moment and it’s very clear for everybody what we are going to do. I’ve explained this situation. I will play the way I play because that was the idea. I was very clear in everything, with the fans, the board, and everybody,” Amorim added.
The Red Devils will take on Scottish side Rangers in the UEFA Europa League.
