While the accused allegedly admitted to the murders of his mother, sister, and her child for the sake of financial gain, some residents of the community speculate that his actions might have been clouded by the influence of illicit substances.

As per the suspect, his acquaintance, ‘Morroco,’ introduced him to a native doctor from Kogi State residing in Nsukka, who allegedly instructed him to poison and sacrifice his mother.
Unfortunately, during the visit, his grandmother, sister, and her two children unwittingly partook of the tainted meal alongside his mother.
DAILY POST reports that one of his sister’s children, a boy, miraculously survived and was swiftly transported to the hospital; however, he is currently experiencing mental instability.
Anaegbuachara has been paraded through the community by his relatives, who insisted he kneel beside his mother’s grave and plead for her forgiveness.
Reports indicate that the suspect is now in police custody, and the native doctor who concocted the charm for him has also been apprehended.
