Nollywood star, Biodun Okeowo, widely recognized as Omoborty, finds herself at the center of yet another scandal, as the notorious gossip blog, Gistlover, has launched serious allegations against her.
The blog claims that Omoborty has violated the trust of her senior colleague and mentor, Lola Idije, by skillfully seducing and marrying the partner of her daughter.
This shocking revelation, which emerged over the weekend, has stirred up a whirlwind of controversy, tarnishing Omoborty’s image and associating her with a narrative of betrayal, deceit, and hidden romance.
Gistlover didn’t merely stop with the accusations. The blog, infamous for igniting endless drama in the entertainment world, depicted a strained relationship between Omoborty and Lola Idije, wherein trust has been irreparably damaged.
To further escalate the situation, Gistlover drew scandalous comparisons between Okeowo and her fellow industry stars, Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe, insinuating that the trio exhibits a recurring pattern of romantic entanglements with men that frequently end in whispers of treachery.
The blog alleged that Okeowo seduced her godmother’s daughter’s partner and clandestinely married him overseas. This secretive union, reportedly kept quiet to evade public scorn, is said to have infuriated Lola Idije and left her colleagues in the industry seething.
Gistlover elaborated on how tensions erupted on social media, with colleagues hurling thinly veiled insults and throwing tantrums that did not go unnoticed. The blog asserted that these online outbursts were merely the smoke that led them to uncover the raging fire of betrayal lurking underneath.

Under mounting pressure and public scrutiny, Omoborty refused to stay silent. In a fiery and unapologetic response, she fired back at Gistlover, accusing the blog of being obsessed with tarnishing her reputation. She dismissed the allegations as a malicious attack stemming from years of harassment by the platform.
Okeowo strongly denied the claims, flipping the narrative by revealing that she was actually the one who introduced Lola Idije and her daughter to her now-husband.
She also made a bold move by publicly dragging fellow actress Tosin Olaniyan into the controversy, accusing her of subtly fueling the scandal with online jabs.
Okeowo challenged Olaniyan to clear her name, hinting that she had been stirring up tensions behind the scenes, worsening the rift among industry players.
