BREAKING: Protesters march towards Kano Government House

Hundreds of young protesters have shut down the ancient city of Kano, in protest, carrying placards with different inscriptions.

The demonstrators initiated their activities within the urban center, traversing locations like Gama, Tudun Wada, Tudun Murtala, and other akin neighborhoods.

They gathered in large numbers with their bodies adorned in varied hues.

In different vicinities, such as Hotoro, Maiduguri Road, and Ahmadu Bello Way, adolescent males were observed carrying hazardous armaments, while some of them vociferated, “We demand prompt interventions from the authorities.”

There existed a substantial presence of armed law enforcement officers and personnel from NSCDC and DSS at key points. Along Ahmadu Bello Way, police officers promptly reacted to seize weapons from the demonstrating young individuals.

The young demonstrators, predominantly under the age of 20, were sighted proceeding towards the Government House.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was cited affirming that should the demonstrations escalate, they must approach the Government House peacefully and present their list of demands, which he pledged to personally convey to the president.
