Will Smith to release new album

Will Smith has officially announced his upcoming album, marking his return to the music scene after nearly 20 years.

The multi-talented actor and singer revealed this exciting news during an interview with Instagram account, Black Film Allies.

“Over the past year and a half, I’ve been in the studio,” he said. “I have a project that is the most personal and powerful music project I’ve ever done. The idea of the music is, ‘Dance in your darkest moments.'”

He didn’t confirm a title or release date for the album, but there is an Instagram page and a website under construction, both titled Dance in Your Darkest Moments.

The bio on the Instagram page says it’s “a human wellness initiative designed to inspire self-exploration, encourage acceptance, & cultivate a celebration for life.” It’s believed to be in the genre of Gospel Rap.

At the recent BET Awards, the 55-year-old stunned audiences with a performance of his new song, You Can Make It, which has already climbed to the 14th spot on the Gospel Songs chart.

Additionally, a teaser for Will Smith’s collaboration with Russ, titled Work of Art, has fans eagerly anticipating its release this Friday.

Earlier this year, Will Smith contributed to the soundtrack of Bad Boys: Ride or Die with his track Light Em Up featuring Sean Paul.

His last album, Lost and Found, was released in 2005, making this upcoming release highly anticipated by fans and industry insiders alike.
