Jenny McCarthy admitted to Fox News that she and her friends stole a sacred item from Pope Francis during a trip to Italy.
The TV personality, who was raised in a devout Catholic family, shared this revelation during a podcast appearance on “Let’s Talk Off Camera with During Kelly a Ripa.”
McCarthy explained that it was actually one of her friends who took the cross from the Pope’s apartment in Vatican City, not herself.
“I stole a cross from the Vatican and gave it to my mother,” ‘the Masked Singer’ judge told host Kelly Ripa.
“My mom’s like, ‘You know, this is not okay.’” She added.
She went on to disclose that her mother, Linda, now proudly displays the cross at their home.
“She still has it on the wall, though, so I feel like it was — it’s in good hands,” McCarthy said.
