This achievement was announced by Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Phiona Okumu, at a press conference in Lagos on July 10th.

Ayra Starr‘s success on the global music scene was highlighted by her collaboration with Rauw Alejandro on the hit track “Santa,” which claimed the number one spot on Spotify’s global impact list for Nigerian tracks.

Her solo track “Comma” followed closely behind at second place, with Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” securing third place.

Phiona Okumu emphasized that the top 30 tracks from Nigeria with the highest global listenership on Spotify in the first half of 2024 were recognized in the platform’s Global Impact List.

Noteworthy entries included Luciano and Omah Lay’s “Another Vibe” in fourth place, and the collaboration “Just Like Me” by 21 Savage, Burna Boy, and Metro Booming in fifth place.

She said;
