American pop star Taylor Swift has achieved yet another major milestone in her musical career. She has now surpassed British singer Ed Sheeran to become the most followed artist in Spotify’s history, with her hit “Cruel Summer” attracting 114.6 million followers.
In addition to this achievement, Taylor Swift also holds the record for the most expensive music tour in history.
Her ‘Eras’ tour grossed over $1 billion, surpassing Elton John’s five-year farewell tour that generated $939 million (£749 million) over 328 shows.
Making history once again, Swift became the first musician to reach billionaire status solely through her music earnings, setting a new Guinness World Record in December 2023.
