EPL: Summer transfer window officially opens from today

The 2024/2025 summer transfer window officially opens today, Monday July 1st, giving clubs until August 30 (deadline day) to complete their deals. In order to align with other major leagues in Europe, the Premier League and Scottish Premiership have moved their Deadline Day forward.

The closing dates were coordinated after discussions with leagues in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France. The 2024/2025 Premier League season will begin on Friday, August 16 and conclude on Sunday, May 25, 2025, spanning 33 weekends, four midweek rounds, and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

The Community Shield featuring Manchester City and Manchester United will be held on Saturday, August 10th. The Carabao Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, while the FA Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 17.
