BREAKING: President Tinubu to send new Minimum Wage Bill to National Assembly

Returning to old national anthem was my priority – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced during his democracy day broadcast that he will be sending a new minimum wage bill to the National Assembly soon.

In his address, he emphasized that his government handled the issue with Organized Labour differently than a dictatorship government would have.

“We have negotiated in good fate and open arms with organized labor on a national minimum wage, we will soon send our executive bill to the National Assembly to enshrine what has been agreed upon in the next five years or less,” he said.

It is worth noting that the National Minimum Wage committee recently submitted its report to the President, with the Federal Government suggesting a minimum wage of N62,000 and Organized Labour proposing N250,000.
