The Annual Ife Public Administration Summit (AIPAS) 5.0 held on Wednesday 22nd of May, 2024 at the Alex Duduyemi Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife, was a remarkable event filled with insightful discussions and memorable moments.

 

It all began with an opening prayer, setting a reverent tone for the day’s activities. Attendees then moved to recognize the esteemed Keynote speaker, Temidayo Musa who is the head of operations for Civic Hive BudgIT Foundation, Guests of Honor, Guest speaker, Agbaje Orire, a member of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reforms and Fiscal policy, Lecturers, and the invited schools.

 

The theme of this year’s summit, “From Policy to Prosperity,” was the focal point of the workshop sessions involving the participating schools: University of Ilorin (Unilorin), The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo and Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). These schools were acknowledged with certificates for their outstanding performances during the event.

 

The workshop was a hit among the students. They engaged enthusiastically, asking numerous questions and gaining valuable insights. The keynote speaker delivered an exceptional lecture on the theme, leaving everyone inspired and thoughtful.

 

The head of the department, Prof Taiwo Olaiya then addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of the theme and its relevance to their future careers. The event also featured an awards segment, where Guests of Honor, Keynote speaker, and Guest speaker were recognized for their contributions.

 

As the summit drew to a close, the deputy chairman of the AIPAS 5.0 planning committee, Adu Ejiro gave a heartfelt closing remark expressing gratitude and marking the end of a gracious and wonderful event. Overall, the summit was a huge success, filled with learning, networking, and recognition.
