A gas explosion occurred at some parts of the National Arts Theatre in Lagos State, causing significant damage on Saturday night.
Amodu Shakiru, the Director of Public Affairs of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are being made to control the fire.
He said, “There’s been an exploded gas cylinder resulting in a fire which the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is managing within the National Arts Theatre.”
Furthermore, a fire outbreak at Fat Noble filling station in Badagry, Lagos on December 27 resulted in injuries to four individuals and substantial damage.
Similarly, a gas explosion in the Ikotun area of Lagos State led to the destruction of various shops and goods at a market located at the Council bus stop on Saturday.
This marks the third reported fire incident in Lagos State within the last seven days.
