Real reason I didn’t try to settle Davido and Burna Boy’s beef – Peruzzi

Peruzzi, the Afropop musician, recently opened up about why he refrained from intervening in the feud between Burna Boy and Davido.

According to Peruzzi, the complexity of their relationship as “brothers” made it difficult for him to offer any assistance in resolving their issues.

Speaking on a Zero Conditions podcast episode co-hosted by Melody, Excel, and Motolani Alake, the “Gunshot” singer clarified that he never agreed to mediate and stayed out of it due to his seniority over both artists.

Despite their disagreement concerning Burna’s song, “Pull Up,” Peruzzi emphasized that he still maintains a good relationship with the self-proclaimed African Giant.

He firmly believes that Burna Boy and Davido will eventually reconcile without any external interference.

Additionally, Peruzzi revealed during the interview that Burna Boy released “Pull Up” without informing him, despite Peruzzi having written the song and being intended to feature on it.

But given that what transpired was typical for the industry at the time, he claimed that they were calm and had no ill will towards one another.

Motolani asked; “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?”

In response, Peruzzi said; “No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, ad I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man. I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles].

I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.”
