Pastor Adeboye

“After a good meal of pounded yam”- Pastor Adeboye speaks on when he wants to die (Video)

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently revealed his wish to depart from this world without stress or illness.

During the third day of the RCCG Holy Ghost Congress in Ogun state, the esteemed clergyman shared his desire to have a departure similar to that of his late uncle.

Adeboye recounted how his uncle returned home from church, enjoyed a light meal prepared by his wife, and patiently awaited the pounded yam she was cooking for him.

In a peaceful moment, while his wife was occupied in the kitchen, his uncle peacefully passed away while using the toilet.

Adeboye reflected that his uncle’s passing was free from pain or disease.

Expressing his own desire for a serene passing, Pastor Adeboye extended a prayer to everyone listening, wishing them a peaceful death without any illness or suffering.

Pastor Adeboye narrated:

“I know somebody will say, well, if we are never sick, then how are we ever going to die and go to Heaven? You don’t need to be sick to go to Heaven.

“An uncle of mine woke up on a Thanksgiving Sunday, went to Church, danced like everybody else, came home, the wife gave him a light breakfast before preparing the original food – pounded yam. She was already pounding the yam when my uncle decided to go to the toilet.

“After she finished pounding, she knocked at the door of the toilet; when they opened the door, my uncle was gone. No sickness, no ache, no pain. If the Lord tarries His Coming, I will go on a Sunday after a good meal of pounded yam.”
