Messi and Ronaldo

My rivalry with Messi is over – Ronaldo reveals

Al-Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, recently acknowledged that his rivalry with Lionel Messi is no longer present, as both players have already made a significant impact on the history of football.

For over a decade, these two footballers have dominated the sport, amassing an impressive total of 79 trophies between them.

Furthermore, Ronaldo and Messi are the only players to have scored over 800 goals each.

“I don’t see things like that, the rivalry is gone,” Ronaldo said.

“It was good, the spectators liked it.

“Those who like Cristiano Ronaldo don’t have to hate Messi and vice versa. We’ve done well, we have changed the history of football. We are respected all over the world, that’s the most important thing,” he added.

Ronaldo decided to leave European football and join Saudi Arabia in January of this year, following the termination of his contract with Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Messi, who emerged victorious in the 2022 World Cup, became a free agent and joined Inter Miami CF in June after spending two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain.

His 44th trophy win occurred in August when he assisted his MLS club in lifting the 2023 Leagues Cup, making him the most decorated football player of all time.
