JUST IN: Tribunal announces date for judgement on petitions against Tinubu

The Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja has set a new date to deliver judgment on the petitions against the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Previously, the tribunal had denied setting September 16 as the judgment date.

However, it has now announced that the judgment will be delivered on Wednesday, September 6.

Both Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party are challenging the election outcome.

The tribunal has merged the petitions submitted by different political parties and will deliver the judgments on the same day for both Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
